I can definitely recommend the beaver Hide. Along with fellow Photographer Terry we helped design this hide to work for both photographers and viewers. The biggest element we added in was the one-way glass which means the beavers can’t see you and sometimes come up on the platform but also swim in the pool and you’re almost close enough to touch them! Dawn and dusk are both really good times and out of six visits I saw them pretty much every time. You need to be very quiet as they are sensitive to sound, but there is nothing more wonderful than seeing beavers in the backdrop of beautiful countryside. The Beavers appear to be thriving and it was an honour to photograph one of the babies. This is a must visit!

What an absolutely magical experience!
We visited the beaver hide during our mini moon and honestly didn’t know quite what to expect, but it was incredible. We were unbelievably lucky and managed to see all three of the wild beavers!
Watching them go about their evening in their natural habitat was such a surreal and peaceful experience. There was something really special about sitting quietly and watching them without disturbing them. It felt like such a privilege to see them so close and to experience them in the wild.
The whole experience was made even more special by how peaceful and beautiful the surroundings are. It’s one of those experiences that you can’t properly capture in a photo — you just have to be there.
Seeing all three beavers on our first night was definitely one of the highlights of our mini moon and something we’ll remember for a very long time.
If you get the chance to visit the beaver hide, absolutely do it! ??
